ATTN: People with web cam (especially girls)

Just read a mail regarding the MSNspy software. This software enables one to watch their friends behind their web cam without being noticed by them. I don't really know how it works, and doesn't know whether it really works! So, you girls out there better be extra careful if you do have web cam. Since others can only view you through your web cam, just take it off when you're not using to avoid stalkers.

Remember: When your web cam is connected and your computer is online, it's never safe, it's never private.

Tick... tick.. tick.. BOMB!

I know I've not been blogging actively these days, sorry la really not in a mood to blog. =S Bloggers have feelings too you know. Haha! Even though I'm currently "busy" doing my marketing assignment, especially the questionnaires, I HAVE TO BLOG ABOUT THIS. Just when I was sending out the questionnaires to some of my friends through msn, I got the most MAGNIFICENT answer from one of them, namely Mr. L.E.H. (can only disclose so much or else I can get sued for defamation. Can pm me if you want to know his full name.)

When I was halfway editing his answers, I saw this.. and was instantly spechless, my facial expression could be best described as "=_="

wtf.. tick tick tick BOMB! Time bomb meh.

I still need to credit him for giving me something to blog about. Thanks! Mr L.E.H.

The Origin of Chinese Vampire aka. Jiang Shi

Jiang Shi are reanimated corpses that hop around, killing living creatures to absorb life essence from their victims. They are said to be created when a person's soul fails to leave the deceased's body. Just like Dracula, Jiang Shi sucks blood too.

In the olden days, family members of the dead who could not afford wagons or have very little money would hire Tao priests to transport corpses of their friends/family members who died far away from home over long distances by teaching them to hop on their own feet back to their hometown for proper burial. This practice, known as 湘西趕屍 was popular in Xiang Xi where many people left their hometown to work elsewhere. After they died, their corpses were transported back to their rural hometown.

Since Xiang Xi is a very rural area, a lot of the locals went out to look for more money in order to support the family. When they die outside, their body were transported back for proper burial. However, because of the narrow and steep path, the corpse can only be carried back using man power. So it begins with a 1 to 1 way to carry the corpse back.

When they have more than one corpse to carry, they need a stretcher, which is made of bamboos. but the tool can only transport 3 corpses at most.

So, someone invented another way to carry multiple corpses at one go. No need to explain in detail la, picture shows it all.

How the corpse is tied to the bamboo.

Also, the traditional chinese dresses are big in nature. Especially the long and broad sleeve, often covered the bamboo stick. So, from far it looked as if the corpses are moving in a line with their arms pointing straight ahead.

Not only that, the corpses can only be transported at night to avoid from direct sunlight. Adding that the priest only hold a dim lantern back then. As they move, the elasticity of the bamboo will cause the corpses to move up and down, making them look as though they are jumping from far. So, this is how the Jiang Shi is created.

SHELTERED ANIMALS DIDN'T DO ANYTHING

The number of pet owners is increasing dramatically, but at the same time, the number of abandoned pets is increasing as well. Many of them aren't aware of their responsibilities when they buy, not even considering whether their house is suitable to keep pets. Some buy because the dog appeared in the recent movie, doing unbelievable stunts etc. So, they thought it would a cool thing to have the same breed at home to impress gf and friends. Years passed by and as the people forget about the movie, that dog is now outdated. The owner no longer care about the dog, what will he do? Get rid of it la of course!

Other reasons are like family allergic, cleanliness issue etc. As this issue arises, The New York Animal Care & Control, partnering the Outdoor Media Group came out a series of advertising campaigns to increase the publics' awareness in animal adoption. If you're planning to buy a pet, why not adopt one for free? Here are some examples of their advertisement. They also have tee shirts for sale as well.

The tee shirt.

Clearly, not for pets.
